Paint as you like, and die happy. - Henry Miller
From the archives. Early work experimenting with squares. Plus words. I still resonate with the message.:“Paint as you like and die happy.“ - Henry Miller
Many years ago, I was living with an artist, whose work I admired greatly. His work ethic was also inspiring. He was one of the first artists I knew up close and personal, and even today I am informed by so many ways I learned by watching him. It was during those years that I started creating visual art. This little piece hangs in his home, a gift from an artist starting out on my way to a senior accomplished mentor and friend.
Later, he was the connection that resulted in our becoming the owners and founders of @bluerockgallery where I had the joy of representing him and selling his work, meeting his fans. His ceramic art is amazing, spanning the timeless functional, the abstract sculptural, and stunning mountains and rivers wall art.
I am thrilled that we are still friends. A lot of water under our bridge. I’m grateful. #loveislove
